Don had thought about teasing Orsino and telling him that he was going to write this day on his calendar. After all how often did Orsino actually invite him over rather then Don simply showing up? Practically never, that’s when. So it was a rather red letter day when he did. But something stopped him from doing it. It was as if he could tell, even over the journals, that it was something important. And since it was important Don simply agreed to come and left it at that. There would be plenty of time to rib him about it at a later date once it was all done with.
Elizabeth was at first a little put off by the short notice. She liked to know a few days in advance when her help was going to be gone. She said it had something to do with wanting to make certain she was prepared to be alone with their three “precious” children. The way she said precious though he was quite certain she was inserting another name in her mind. He just smiled at her and explained and it wasn’t long before she grudgingly agreed to it being ok. She also stated that she felt that perhaps she did owe him a few days for getting sick and leaving him with three sick toddlers as well.
It didn’t take long to get ready and leave and then he was at Orsino and Penny’s place. He lifted his hand and knocked three times, rocking on the balls of his feet while he waited for him to open the door.
