For an awful moment Theo was afraid as Greg leant over him, cowering away, but it was only a moment and it came and went like a cloud passing the sun. He leant in to Greg, moving willingly as though being close to the man offered a bolt hole that he'd never had as a child, his shudders quietening as Greg held him.
He let Greg help him re-establish the world around him, the wholeness of his own body, listened to the soft words like they were rain. He looked back at Greg, expression serious, and lifted his hands to cup Greg's face. "I know." he said, sounding sane for a moment, but again, just a moment. His grip became more assured but not tight enough to hurt, and his demeanour seemed urgent and serious. "Don't get in his way Greg. No matter what. Don't get in his way."
