Harold couldn't deny that he found Veronica more then slightly attractive. Her physical appearence was what used to bring him around to continuing their bickering throughout the years. However, that's not the only reason any longer. There were other things about her that drove him closer to her and what caused him to make the bet with her. Although, he had plenty of girlfriends throughout the years, some ending worse than others, Harold never thought that he was a keeper for the long haul. Maybe his personality vibrated off him, especially when he was around his best friend's wife, but he always found himself to be a charmer. That could have been a reason that Kegg never told him to leave her alone. He wasn't sure as a whole about their odd relationship.
Dodging the scattered people crossing his path that headed towards the park, Harold almost felt frusterated, despite that he had made up quite a bit of ground. Didn't those wizards see that he was on a mission? It would help if they walked along the sides of the walls and leaving the main path in the alley way clear for him. Pushing himself a bit harder, he could feel himself breathing heavier with each footstep that he seemingly took to achieve the goal firmly on his mind.
Slightly stumbling over his own two feet as his eyes glanced a little further down the woman's behind, Harold's mind couldn't help but defer a small amount from this current actions. "Focus, man," he coached himself in a low tone of voice. It wasn't like him to be sidetracked from what he set out to accomplish. He was a guy that followed through any situation, which is why he continued to chance down Kegg. Once he started something, he completed it without a doubt. Harold just never mentioned the short moments that he detoured from the event.
Harold sprinted a couple of more steps and rounded the corner just seconds after Veronica had done so, wrapping an arm around her waist. Fingers slipped across her skin horizontally, he pulled up against her rather quickly, making sure that there was no time to almost breath. It almost seemed that they were in a physical tussle through those short actions, until he pressed her up against the wall. He let a grin spread across his lips and kept her in the same position by the use of his hips against her own. Placing his hand on the opposite side of her body, a finger ran along her mid-drift slowly and leaned in just slightly. "You're quick," he said almost breathelssly. It wasn't something that he could hide easly, being out of breath. The chase did last more then a few seconds, both trying to beat the other.
"However, this doesn't count," he whispered against her ear, while bravely placing a single kiss upon her shoulder. Of course, the short words were of the bet that they made a few days ago. Aside from that, releasing her was out of the option though.
