That particular Monday had been greeted with a sort of anticipation for productivity. They'd survived the first week and already Lisa Turpin was feeling the pressure. Unlike the stereotype of a typical Ravenclaw, Lisa required tutors to get through her lessons. And as was expected with every few years came the need to search for replacements. The Gryffindor bloke who'd tutored her the two years prior had finished his schooling and now Lisa was in search for someone in her own year who'd be able to ... help.
It was embarrassing actually. And after she'd spoken with Flitwick about potential tutors in Charms she made her way to the Defense Against the Dark Arts office. Unlike previous years Snape seemed to keep his job and Lisa was forced to ask him for aid. It was...unnerving. She tried to stay out of the man's way for the most part and knocking on his office door didn't seem all too...out of the way.
As she made her way down the second floor corridor she stopped briefly at a new installation. A mirror she didn't remember being there before...but, considering it was a new year she wasn't exactly surprised. She had a strange piece of hair that had been acting up all day and as she tucked it behind her ear she moistened her lips out of vain habit. Along with that habit came the need to wipe just below her left eye.
As she did so she recognized a mass of hair pass behind her. And just as Lisa's eyes narrowed in annoyance toward one, Hermione Granger, an unexpected insult left the other girl's mouth through the reflection. One that sounded a lot like, 'Look all you like, you'll still look like a hag mauled by a werewolf.'
Lisa's mouth dropped agape and she turned quickly. "Fuck you, Granger," she retorted defensively a slight growl in her tone as she said it.
