Damn. Caught. She really didn't want to argue over dinner. Astoria didn't do mind games, or ultimatiums or any of the other ridiculous things that other women seemed to tend to cling to in dealing with their relationships. She was honest, bluntly and usually charmingly so. Which meant when she didn't want to discuss something, she quite literally went all out to avoid talking about it all.
"I think," she said somewhat carefully, so as to keep the mood light and not delve too deeply into an issue she had been doing entirely too much thinking about lately. "That you're very comfortable with how things stand at the moment. I think that I wouldn't want to press you into more then what you were willing to give at any point."
