It almost undid Greg, that flinch when moments ago, Theo had seemed pleased and willing. Greg shook his head, "It's me. Greg. I've..," and he faltered slightly, "I've gotten older. I'm still me, here," he said, taking one of Theo's hands and putting it on his chest, "It's still me. Theo, I love you," and he would have gone on, but the nonsense talk started again, and Greg struggled to keep up with it.
"Okay..I won't let you go. Theo, what are you saying?" he said, as he moved to pull the other hand away from Theo's mouth. Greg moved to sit up, frowning down at Theo in some confusion, "What are you talking about? Light? Voices? Theo, this is NOT the Nott Estate! Theo!" he said, his voice rising in his frustration, "Snap out of this!"
Greg's voice was stern and commanding. He didn't realize how insensitive he was being and he wouldn't care if he noticed. He just wanted Theo to stop the shit and act normally for a few minutes.
