Greg whispered his name again hoarsely, and hesitated, frowning even as he turned back to the door, to shut it properly. He heard the babble, the insane ramblings of a nattered mind, and something inside of him fell as he re-faced Theo. He was still frowning, and he stepped closer, but put his hands up as a gesture of gentle calming and surrender.
"Theo..," he said quietly, "Theo, I've been looking everywhere for you. This last weeks...trying to find out what's become of you," he added, the frustration coming through Greg's voice, "There was nothing...bullocks...and now, here....," he said, his voice trailing off again in bewilderment, "It's Greg, Gregory Goyle. Don't you remember me?"
He had moved closer, not wanting to make the other boy feel corner or trapped; instead he had shifting to the bed, to sit at the far corner of it, giving Theo plenty of room to bolt if he needed to. There was a strain to Greg's expression; his heart was aching, at seeing Theo and at seeing him in this state. He wanted to gather the slim boy up, like he'd done so many times before and hold him, snuggle him like the stuffed animal toy Greg had never had; Greg's need to connect and feel something tangible was blazingly apparent on his face.
All he'd done since he'd gotten out was think about Theo; the boy was Greg's only comforting thought those years in Azkaban. The hope that Theo had survived, thrived, had kept Greg warm at night; the reality had terrorized Greg when he'd gotten out and not been able to find a trace of his boyfriend. Greg knew it was going to be hard to get information about old Death Eaters, and snooping too much could send the wrong message that maybe he was yearning for the old days; he was, but not the way that others might take it. He loved Theo. If anything he'd figured out about himself in prison had crystallized, Greg Goyle's utter devotion to Theo Nott had been the shining jewel in his heart.
"Theo, I've missed you so much," he started, "Come here, please," he said as he touched the bed. He wanted to launch himself at Theo but even Greg could see a caged animal inside his love's body; the signs were all there and if Greg went at him, he might just trigger a fight response. Greg had seen it in jail; he could see it here with Theo and the last thing he wanted was to cause that sort of reaction. Never mind, the medi-witches not understanding.
All of this went through Greg's mind quickly and he felt a shift inside of himself as his need rose up like a tide inside of him, "Theo, if you don't get over here," he said in a low direct tone, "I'm going to come sit closer to you. Which is it you want?"
