Re: The Malfoys and the Greengrasses
Astoria was not at all happy. Not that things hadn't been obviously coming to a head, it was ridiculously blatant that this sort of thing was inevitable, and she had a feeling Draco knew a lot more about it then he told her. She was careful not to ask. Very careful, but that didn't mean she didn't nearly burn up with curiosity. Especially since some warning with regards to when and that it would be brought quite literally to her doorstep would have been nice.
When the battle started however, she went into something of a blind panic, and it wasn't until Daphne found her that she was able to think a little better. She wanted to be brave and she wanted to help, but she was still a sixteen year old girl who was, even if she wouldn't admit it, terrified out of her mind. Once she'd been found by her sister, they'd been trying to find a safe way out of the castle, with the idea that once they were past the wards, Daphne could side-along them home, or at least someplace much safer then school had suddenly become.
They'd narrowly skirted past a group of Death Eaters, and it was probably only their school robes that saved them from being noticed as targets. Finally thought, Astoria had to jerk her sister to a stop, catching a glance of Draco even before Daphne did, and while her throat swelled with the need to shout for him almost overwhelmed her good sense. She managed to contain herself however, and threw herself into his arms once he was close enough, clinging as if he was a lifeline.
For several moments, she didn't even pay much attention to the conversation going around her between the two dearest people in her world, until Daphne started pulling away and she let out a nearly hysterical shriek of protest. "Daphne, no! Please! I can't... what if something happens to you? Don't leave me!"
