Verity and Yaxley
He watched his opponent fall to the ground, a little disappointed in the results. The hex had hit her, at least. But then, Yaxley hadn't exactly been aiming for the mother by then. A frown creased his brow as he walked over to Verity's fallen body, his long strides closing the distance quickly. He prodded her side with the tip of his boot, his head tilted in curiosity. There was no way that had killed her, but she seemed stunned from the impact.
Yaxley's voice was quiet and casual when he spoke. "You know, I was hoping I might cut that thing out of you and get the easy part out of the way first." He flourished his wand. "But this works, too."
