The hex caught Yaxley's arm and while it didn't have its full effect, it sent him spinning halfway around before her caught himself and managed to turn. Ignoring the throbbing ache it left in his shoulder, he snarled and took a few steps forward. From this vantage point, even through the dust and particles of stone still lingering in the air, he could see the tell-tale bump over her belly.
She was pregnant, was she? Definitely not a student, then. Unless Hogwarts had changed that much over the past fifteen years. In any case, this could only be a good thing - no sense bringing a new generation of blood traitors into the world. Disposing of the two of them at once would be an honor. But he was going to have some fun, first.
"Incarcerous!" Ropes exploded from his wand, flying at Verity as if of their own volition.
