Eyes flashing, Kevin raised his hands and gestured for Su to keep her voice down. He had seen Ginny's message, she had seen Ginny's message, but those second years had not seen Ginny's bloody message. Startling and scaring them wasn't going to accomplish anything but chaos.
"Don't, Su," Kevin half-growled, half-whispered. He held up his wand between them, brandishing it as one brandishes a white flag. "Even with this back, I can't fight. Were you at the same meeting I was the other night? I can't even protect my own bloody self, how d'you expect me to attack anyone?" he shot at her.
