Who: Marcus Flint, Severus Snape
When: 19.05.2010- evening
Where: Hogwarts, Snape's office
What: Marcus drops by for his 'job interview'
Rating:

Marcus had come some time after dinner at Hogwarts, well the time they'd had dinner back when he was a student. Snape hadn't been exactly specific in his last owl, not like Marcus really cared much how he looked to others. It was probably a good idea not to piss off your future employer. He climbed up the stairs to the headmaster's office. Unlike people would expect, he hadn't been there often, most issues had been solved between mcGonagall and Snape when Flint made trouble, sometimes Hooch would get a say, simply because it's mostly been Quidditch issues.

When he reached the magic gargoyle that guarded the door he told it the password Snape had given him in his last owl and didn't even wait for the door to fully open before he entered. he had never been a very patient guy.

He entered the headmaster's office and grinned at his former head of house. "Good evening professor." Snape was one of the few people Marcus really respected.

"Mr. Flint." Severus sat at his desk, leafing through what appeared to be a pile of correspondence. He waved lazily at the chair sitting opposite, and looked up after a moment. "Have a seat. You're prepared to accept?" In some ways - some very important ways - Flint was the ideal candidate, unlikely to murder anyone and yet almost certainly capable of being civil with the more volatile elements in the faculty.

And he was likely to make the right calls on the pitch, of course. That was always good for something. "As I mentioned - the position needs to be filled immediately."

Marcus took a seat. He was most certain things at school were a lot better, from a Slytherin point of view, than they used to be. He leaned back a bit and nodded. "I am. But I got a date tonight so I'll be able to start tomorrow, if that's alright for you." He nodded.

"I have training four times a week and of course I have to be there for the games, but training times are flexible, we can have those in the afternoon or any other time we plan. I hope that won't be a problem?" Because as much as Flint liked the offer, he would always pick his team over being a flying insctructor at Hogwarts and he hoped snape knew that. Marcus didn't really plan to be a disappointment to him.

"Tomorrow will do," he replied, perhaps a little sharply. The thought that he might have to learn something about a student's - even a former student's - romantic entanglements made him feel like he might come over in hives. He folded his hands over his desk, and nodded through it. "The only ones who require intensive instruction are the first years - we can schedule them according to your needs, I'm sure. And our games shift more easily than do yours. You can set them whenever you like, as far as I'm concerned. I'll leave it up to you."

He'd have been happy enough to cancel all of it, really, but ... normalcy was to be desired. "I imagine that will be enough to persuade your coach? Any questions?"

"Great." Marcus nodded. It sounded like there wouldn't be any problems. "Any important changes at the school I should know about?" Marcus had heard rumours, everyone had probably, but he had never really paid attention to any of them. It didn't concern him, or at least it hadn't until now.

"Sure, I'll let him know and I guess he won't have any problems with it."
