Alecto wasn't given her name for being a pleasantly friendly child growing up. Alecto from Greek Mythology is one of the Erinyes - her name literally translated to mean "unceasing anger". Alecto Carrow was no exception to that definition. Her anger was it's peak at this point, and she really couldn't contain it much longer. She needed to find a victim, and fast. The vandalism was one thing, but suddenly the pristine house of Slytherin was being slandered, and mud was beginning to shot itself on the very name of Salazar. As a Slytherin alumni, that did not bode well with her. On top of that, one of the staff members of Hogwarts was speaking ill of the new power and the Dark Lord. Then it became obvious to Alecto where she could take out her unceasing rage. Hooch. That sorry excuse for a "professor" was the perfect victim, and she was positive the Dark Lord would be happy. It would also open another position for a Dark Lord follower. It was perfect. So perfect that it made her giggle with excitement as she began her descent towards the Quidditch Pitch, where she knew Hooch was lingering. Black cloak hid her approach in shadow, as feet barely made a noise on the grass. She looked like a predator stalking prey, and through the entrance to the pitch, Alecto would could see her prey cleaning and repairing school brooms. Hooch had no chance, as she muttered profanities and attempted to immerse herself into cleaning the brooms, she had no chance to see Alecto's approach. It was only when her wand went flying across the pitch that she realized someone was approaching. Her yellow eyes instantly flickered towards the black figure approaching. This was likely the time she regretted not taking McGonagall's advice and keeping quiet. Alecto's smirk was broad, and predatory as she entered the pitch, and the lit candles from the pitch illuminated the entire pitch. "Rolanda Hooch." It then became obvious to Hooch that the hooded figure was a woman. Rising to her feet, brooms clattered to the ground as she quickly turned on her heels to find her wand. "No, no, no! I don't think so." The black cloak parted to reveal a black glove, with fingers wrapped around a wand. Flicking her wrist the woman was suddenly suspended in the air. "There's no running, not this time." While her wand remained poised in the air to keep Hooch suspended, Alecto pushed back her hood. Dark gaze stared venomously at the hawk-like woman swaying precariously in the air. "Carrow, I should have known." "Shut up, Hooch." Another flick of her wand rendered the Quidditch coach unable to speak. "Much better." Leaving the woman suspended in the air, Alecto began to circle her. "You know, the Dark Lord does not like people speaking ill of him." Once behind Hooch, Alecto flicked her wand and the woman dropped to the ground, face first. Watching Hooch attempting to get up, Alecto tugged on the string of her cloak and allowed it to fall to the ground. "Aw, what's wrong? Did that hurt?" Snickering cruelly, Alecto grabbed Hooch by the hair, and pulled her head back. "Enjoy it while you can, it means your still alive." Tugging violently on Hooch's hair, the angle that Alecto held her at threaten to snap her neck, and Hooch could be heard attempting to whimper through pursed lips. Finally releasing her, Alecto slammed her face into the ground. An audible SNAP could be heard as Hooch's beak-like nose collected most of the impact. Taking a few steps back from the woman, Alecto raised her wand. "Get up! Up up!" Giggling sadistically, Alecto suspended Hooch ten feet in the air by her ankles. "That's better." Leaving the woman suspended like that, she went over to the pile of brooms and plucked one up from the ground. "I never did understand Quidditch, I wasn't one of your best students." Sliding her wand into the wrist holster, she wrapped both her gloved hands around the handle of the broom, towards the bottom near the bristles. Hooch's eyes went wide as she suddenly realized what Alecto was going to do. A muffled scream attempted to escape her lips as the broom cracked across her cheek. The sound echoed through the quidditch pitch, as Alecto proceeded to make Hooch her personal pinata. Hauling the broom back, she allowed it crack against Hooch's ribs three times. The quidditch coach attempted to scream as tears of pain ran from eyes and mixed with the blood dripping from her broken nose. "Ooooh, are you crying?" Hauling back with the broom once more, it cracked over the front of her face and finally splintered. The broom opened a large gash across Hooch's forehead as the white of her skull could be seen. Blood splattered across Alecto's face, and she could only giggle as the woman continued to be suspended upside down. A barely conscious Hooch shuddered against the pain. Both eyes swollen and blood pouring from an open wound over her forehead. "A disgrace." Sneering, Alecto dropped the splintered and broken broom to the ground and pulled out her wand. Taking a step back, a smirk curled over crimson painted lips. A cruel and sadistic smirk that looked evil in the candlelight. "Crucio!" As if Hooch couldn't suffer any more, she was suddenly convulsing in the air, as her mouth opened and tried to scream, but nothing came out. Despite her eyes being swollen, they managed to open as her body spasmed and shook. Fingers broken and gnarled from the beating attempted to claw at the air to make the pain stop. Each movement only made her suffer more from all the broken ribs and internal bleeding. Giggling gleefully, Alecto watched with enjoyment as the once intimidating and feared Quidditch coach writhed from pain. "Crucio!" The curse was shouted once more, and the second time sent Hooch into throes of agony. Eyes no longer able to open from all the swelling, she just tossed and swayed in the air. Her face starting to turn purple from hanging upside down, her mouth wide as she tried to scream, but no sound came out. That wheezy giggle came from Alecto's lips as she allowed the curse to subside. Watching Hooch sway in the air, Alecto's head tilted to the side as she allowed the woman to catch her breath and try to recover from the unforgivable curse. Her breathing was slow, and broken as her face was becoming unrecognizable, bloated from the blood rushing to her face, eyes were swollen close and nose was bent at an awkward angle. The only thing recognizable about her was the stark grey hair on her head. Alecto raised her wand one final time and shouted "AVADA KEDVRA!" Green light emanated from her wand and crashed against Hooch's body. The force of the killing curse broke the hex that left her suspended in the air. Life was instantly extinguished from her body, as she went crashing upon the ground. Lying in an awkward position, Hooch no longer twitched, nor shuddered. Standing triumphantly over the lifeless Rolanda Hooch, Alecto was breathing heavily. Excited by what she just done, she slid the wand back into the wrist holster and plucked her black cloak off from the ground. Fixing it back over her shoulders, she gave one more satisfied look to the dead Hooch, and tugged her hood over her head and moved back towards the castle. She would leave the body for someone else to find. For the time being she needed to find her brother to tell him the good news. |
