"No, no," Bill said, pushing himself up on the pillows a little. "I won't bite, I promise."
He looked down at the pile of gifts with a small grin.
"You didn't have to do this, Perce, but thanks. These are wonderful. I'm finally able to stomach these sorts of things, so the sweets are ace."
He gestured to the chair next to the bed.
"Make yourself comfortable," he said. "I'm feeling okay, thanks. Much better than a few days ago. Still don't know about the leg but the Healers are being pretty honest about it and they think it'll heal to a decent functionality, so that's good. I'm not really expected to be running foot races anytime soon though."
