Snape had tasked Draco with finding the mudbloods wands. Of course, Draco had no sodding clue how to go about doing that, but he had been able to glean some information. The new High Inquisitor wasn't always as guarded as someone in his position really ought to be, and Draco had been practicing both is Legilimency and Occlumency since the Death Eaters had descended. One was a necessity, of course - he had to keep himself guarded at all times, in case one of his brothers went to take a closer look - but the other was proving more useful, so far.

He knew, for instance, that the wands were being kept somewhere in the dungeons. Somewhere with limited access. And he knew for certain they were not being kept in the High Inquisitor's office - which would have been the most logical place. Still, it felt a bit like looking for a wand in a pile of fallen branches, and Draco forced himself to make a pretense of looking for people out after curfew while he searched the hallways for secret doors, or things that seemed out of place.

"Draco." Theo was wandering around the place after curfew for a few reasons, but the one he'd have given anyone who asked was something along the lines of the curfew being pointless and Theo being unbothered about any possible consquences.

In reality, he'd been out watching the sky and remembering the sight of dark skeletal forms with torn up wings, his thoughts not about to be verbalised to anybody. That said, he was now just wandering through Hogwarts just because he wanted to and a little because he knew he wasn't allowed - he was a bit of a masochist like that.

Draco had heard someone coming - but these were the dungeons and he was a prefect, and it wasn't like he had anything to worry about from professors, not at the moment at least, not with his Mark matching theirs. So he hadn't hid, and when it turned out to be Nott, he relaxed almost completely. Nott was harmless, he'd come to believe, even if his Father was one of them. Nott rarely made sense enough for anyone to take him too seriously, even if he were to know something about why Draco was here - which he wouldn't.

"Nott," He said, leaning against the wall casually, his back against cold stone. "Out a bit late?"

"Or very early." he said, almost playful if it wasn't for the utter lack of tone with which he'd said that. Sure Draco was a prefect, etc, etc, but Theo wasn't concerned about his being caught. He would have been pleased to know that Draco saw him as harmless, even more so to know that the way he spoke similarly disarmed people.

He wasn't into brutal frontal attacks or vicious backstabbing ones the way his father was; he played in ambiguity and unknown reference and waited and planned.

He watched Draco with minimal interest but didn't seem to want to say anything more than that.

	"I'm sure you could do, though I don't see why you would, it wouldn't make it so." Theo said, leaning back against the wall facing Draco.
