Tonks was infinitely proud of Remus for not fainting. She didn't mind the clammy-skinned paleness in the least, so long as he remained upright.
She cradled the newborn to her chest, amazed by how tiny he was. Babies were small, but he was a month early, and it showed. He wasn't dangerously tiny, just smaller than she'd expected. "He's got your eyes for sure," she said. "And your ears, I think, the poor thing."
As she watched, his hair turned from brown to a strange shade of ginger, and her eyebrows shot up. "No question who his mum is," she said with soft laugh. Tearing her eyes away from the baby, she looked at Remus, still grinning widely. "We did really good, didn't we?"
Nuzzling the top of the baby's head, she then pressed her lips to his forehead. "What do you think about the name Gabriel, buddy? Gabriel Sirius Lupin? Do you like it?" She turned back to Remus, still smiling. "Does he look like a Gabriel to you?"
