Katie was deep in thought at the moment, as she emerged from the twins' shop and made her way down the road. She thought maybe she'd stop in somewhere for a drink or maybe something to eat, even, before she headed back home. He thoughts weren't on how good a plate of fish and chips would taste, though. She was thinking about Ange, about her own parents, about the horrible bloody state of the world and about how nothing they were doing seemed to be enough. The other side appeared to be winning, from where she was standing and that made her angry. It scared her, too, but she couldn't admit to that. She was far to prideful and stubborn.
As deep in thought as she was, though, Katie wasn't paying very much attention to the path ahead of her and she didn't notice Marcus Flint in time to avoid him. As a matter of fact, she walked right into him, not even noticing there was another person in her path until they'd collided.
"So-" she began to apologize, but she cut that off when she saw who it was. Marcus bloody Flint. She really didn't need him mucking up her day. Nevermind that she has just bumped into him and it was entirely her fault, she shot an icy glare in his direction as she started to pick herself up off the ground.
