Teagan Moran can fly without a broom. (moranduh) wrote in wished,
It had been impossible for Teagan to fall asleep. After a morning filled with lectures and long-winded speeches about appropriate behavior and creating a role-model type image for the Bats, Teagan had been left with one of the most monumental headaches she'd ever had. Her brain ached, it felt like. Although itching to just complain about it, Teagan had mostly kept her feelings to herself. Jae had made a point in her journal - she shouldn't be mouthing off in a public forum.
She couldn't lose her spot on the team. She wouldn't know what to do without Quidditch. With the way things were going, she was sure it wouldn't be easy to find a different team to pick her up, either.
As she heard the front door open, a small tingle hit her stomach. She knew Maggie had gone to bed much earlier so the elimination process let her know that Jae was finally home. Pulling her covers off, Teagan slid out of her bed before pulling her robe from off the edge of her headboard. If she couldn't sleep, at least she could force Jae into keeping her company.
Wrapping the tie of the silk robe loosely around her waist, she shuffled out toward the kitchen. Her eyes settled on Jae as he was washing the dishes.
"You are the only wizard I know who'd rather do things the Muggle way," she commented with a small smirk tugging at her lips. She leaned her body slightly against the wall, her arms crossed over her chest.
