Brow furrowed, Verity took a step back and staring at him. "Why the bloody hell not?" She asked, genuinely shocked at his reaction. It was the last thing she'd thought he'd say. "You don't want kids. We're not ready for this." She shot back at him, unable to blink the tears away and swiping at them as they fell.

Then his words struck her and she took another step back, holding out her hand. "Hang about." she said, staring at him, anger bubbling up. "I won't? Because last time I checked it was my decision and my decision alone." She snorted and crossed her arms over her chest. "Although apparently telling you about it wasn't my decision.
