Miss the squid?! Daphne did not miss that wretched beast, even if it did get her to talk to Dean. Daphne would have preferred to live life without being tossed around like a bloody rag doll. "I never did understand why people complain when it's quiet." This forced idle chatter was really annoying her too. She didn't know what to say to Dean, and that just frustrated her even more.
Feeling Dean's fingers brush through her hair, her breath caught in her throat, and she had to swallow. What was wrong with her? Closing her eyes for a moment, she had to tell herself to calm down.
"It's not on? You're going to tell me what is on and what's not?" An amused smirk curled on her lips, as she took a step closer to him. "For what it's worth, Thomas..." Her voice dropped significantly, so only he could hear - whether she did that for her benefit or for his couldn't be said. "I have missed seeing you around. You do have infallible timing, popping up when I need saving and what not."
