Her smile coaxed out one of his own, even if it was as faint as Hermione's. He really did wish for her (and by extension, Ron and Harry as well) to know that they weren't alone. That there were others just as capable and just as willing to go through all sorts of things because they knew the cause was right.
"Funneling everyone in." Like they used to do when the meetings happened in the Room of Requirement. His smile went that much wider, fonder. The DA really was the best thing that happened to him at Hogwarts. The grin didn't even falter when Hermione said that not everyone would be able to make it.
"S'alright. I understand." He didn't exactly like it, but living amongst the Gryffindors for several years now, he knew he wouldn't be able to talk them into doing anything they didn't wish to do.
"Um...Hermione," he drawled. "I've got a question to ask you, and you don't have to answer it or anything if you don't want to. I'm only curious about..." Deep breaths, Neville. "...whether you'd got an owl from Remus Lupin?"
