"He'll get at him," Hermione said, and she sounded completely sure because... well, she was, really. There were only so many Horcruxes left, and they were at least one step closer to finding the locket, then they'd move on. They had a plan, a system. Destroy one, find the next. Save that with every one they destroyed, they could be sure that Voldemort was going to attack again to try to stop them. How many people would die in the middle?
But not the DA, at least not while they were at school. Hermione held on to that hope, at least.
"We know," She said quietly, and tried to give Neville what she hoped was a reassuring smile. "We're researching something now, something that we think will be the key to all of it. But it's not for certain yet. Just... let them know that they'll be safe at Hogwarts, but not as safe as it's always been. We know McGonagall can protect the school, and Dumbledore will still be there, but the Ministry is getting in too. And ... well, you know that Voldemort wants eyes there as well. He must have a plan for that."
