Tonks had kept to herself for the most part after everything that had happened in January, and this was the first real get-together she'd had since. It wasn't that she didn't want to be there; part of her was excited to see Fleur and Bill again and feel like an adult. Spending her days surrounded by teenagers, while an interesting experience, made her miss normal adult interaction, and she considered Bill at least to be a good mate. Fleur, not so much yet, but since she was now Bill's wife, Tonks was making an effort.
Shifting the bouquet of flowers she'd brought, Tonks walked up to the door at Shell Cottage and took a look around the beautiful area, feeling something tugging inside of her. It would be a wonderful place for Fleur and Bill to raise a family.
Knocking, she stepped back and waited, shivering against the cold. Her conversation with Charlie was still fresh in her mind, and knowing he was going to be here as well caused her some anxiety. But as the baby managed a well-placed kick to her kidney, she winced. It was a potent reminder that there were bigger things to worry about than small arguments and disagreements that weren't worth the heartache that so often came along with them.
