Nikolas gave a short laugh. Actually, he was of the opinion that most of his house probably was just as bad as they were reputed for being. Mostly he just ignored this fact where he could, and tried to find it amusing otherwise. It had worked decently, the past six years.
The idea of one's patronus often matching the form one took as an animagus had been very interesting to Nikolas when the Headmistress had mentioned it. Like most of the students, he had never had an actual reason to cast one. Still, over the previous summer his father had seemed very keen to make sure Nikolas could cast the charm capably. It had taken most of the summer and had been a bit annoying, actually - but he'd never have suspected it coming to any use this year.
"A doe? That seems like it would suit you," he replied, looking at her as though finding some evidence that this patronus form was indeed perfectly appropriate. "I think that'd be a pretty useful thing to turn into. Better than a flobberworm, anyway."
