While he thought McGonagall might the absence of one of the two Slytherins somewhat worrisome, the other six students might find it even more suspect. He still didn't feel quite welcome, although for the most part everyone had been civil. It was getting a little easier, at least. Now would not be the time to risk that by not showing up.
