TITLE: Ballad of the Winchesters, Part 66-70
AUTHOR: my_sam_dean
FANDOM: Supernatural
PAIRING: Sam/Dean, John/Bobby
RATING: NC-17
WARNINGS: Slash, Incest
SUMMARY: All the guys find out about the creep's eyes being/turning black. Ring shoping, Committent Ceremony and Wedding night.
DISCLAIMER: I don't own the boys, they own me!
The next day was a hectic one. Sam and Dean went up to the hospital right away in the morning. Drew went to school to let his and Sam's professors know why they were absent. Then, he went up to see Emma.
Bobby and John looked tired when the boys got up there. They'd brought the adoption papers. That's when John gave them the paper that the creep signed.
"You saw him?" Emma asked John. "What did he look like?"
"How do you mean, Emma?"
"What color were his eyes?"
"He had blue eyes. Why?" John had a growing look of concern on his face.
"I thought they were blue," Emma mumbled as she drifted off. "But, I dreamed they were black."
Four men looked at each other, suddenly on high alert. The fifth man in the room, Drew, just thought Emma was having wacky pregnancy dreams.

"What was that?" Dean asked his dad. "Has she said anything else like that?"
"Shit," was all John could say.
"No. She hasn't said anything else like that," Bobby answered Dean.
"What does it mean?" Sam looked at his dad and Bobby for an explanation.
"Maybe the creep was possessed when he attacked her," John didn't want his sons to worry, but her comment had hit him like a punch to the gut.
"Does that mean the baby is part demon?" Dean directed his question to John.
"I don't know," John sounded defeated as he admitted he could only guess at what it could mean.
"The baby might be open for possession. Especially for the demon that was in the creep," Bobby voiced his theory. "I see what I can find out about being open for possession. It would make sense that we would need to make sure that there was not a demon in the baby and then close that opening. It's just a matter of how."
"Do you think it's something we can handle?" Dean asked as he pulled Sam to him with one arm. Sam looked lost and hurt.
"I think the baby has a better chance with us than someone who doesn't know what we do," Bobby replied. "But, that's down the road. Right now we have to think of Emma."
John and Dean nodded in agreement.
When John and Bobby were about to walk away, Dean called them back. "Think you can come back early tonight? Sam and I have an errand."
"Sure thing," John tried to smile. "Call us if there is any change."
"Will do," Dean smiled back.
John and Bobby continued down the hall. That left Dean and Sam alone.
"How are you doing, Sammy?" Dean tried to get a good look at Sam's face.
"It's like I can't get enough air," Sam looked pale.
"Let's get you to a chair," Dean started to shuffle toward the waiting room. He got Sam into a chair and knelt in front of him. "Look at me, Sammy. Just breathe and look at me." Sammy obeyed and Dean took Sam's hands in his. "We need to concentrate on Emma now. Dad and Bobby will take care of anything else. Think you can go in there and support Emma?"
Sam nodded. He thought for a minute and then asked Dean, "What is our errand?"
"I thought we could go get the rings," Dean gave Sam a warm smile.
"Really?"
"Yeah. Do you think I would joke about something like that?"
"No," Sam said softly. "You wouldn't."
"Damn right I wouldn't," Dean put a hand on the side of Sam's face. "I love you, Sammy."
"Love you," Sam replied, stood and put his arms around Dean. After Sam felt more centered, he said, "Let's go check on Emma."
Dean kept an arm around Sam's waist as they walked back to Emma's room.

"This isn't good," John said as he got into the truck.
"I know that, John."
"It's really not good."
"We'll figure it out."
"That's my grandbaby, Bobby."
"My grandbaby, too, John. We're not going to let anything happen to them."
"Where do we even start?" John asked as his mind whirled with questions that he didn't have answers to.
"Let me worry about that," Bobby told him. "You go to bed right away when we get home and I'll do research. That way, you'll be rested enough to get back to the hospital early for Sam and Dean. I'll get up there as soon as I can."
"Okay," John tried to sound calm. "I should help you find the information, though."
"No. Emma needs you. I'm not arguing with you, I'll telling you. You need to sleep for Emma's sake."
John didn't like the idea of not being involved. "You'll get me as soon as you know something or if there is some way I can help?"
"Sure, Johnny."
***
John and Bobby walked in and Caleb had food ready for them. They inhaled the food and didn't say much.
Bobby went downstairs with John and laid by him for awhile.
"What do I tell Sam and Dean when I don't know what's going on or if it's going to be alright?" John worried.
"Tell them what you do know," Bobby held him close. "Tell them that you love them, that we'll figure something out, and that it is their baby that we're talking about. Emma couldn't give birth to a full-fledged demon. They will have a baby to raise and love."
"I love you, Bobby."
"I love you, too, John. Get some rest. I'll come back down as soon as I am done," Bobby kissed him once before heading upstairs.
"What happened?" Caleb asked after Bobby shut the basement door.
"I need your help," Bobby replied.
Caleb followed Bobby into Emma's room that doubled as Sam's study. "What's going on, Bobby?"
"Emma mentioned that she thought the creep that assaulted her had black eyes," Bobby didn't spare Caleb a glance as he got on Sam's computer.
"Oh, shit," Caleb was silent as he tossed possibilities around in his mind. "So you're thinking possession. Any idea how that could affect the baby?"
"Could leave the babe open for possession, especially to the one that was in the creep. I don't know. I'm grasping. What do you think?"
"Open for possession. You'd need to make sure there was no possession and then close that opening. Do you know how to do that?"
"No," Bobby replied. "I kinda hoped you did."
"Let me make some calls," Caleb fished his cell out of his pocket. "I'll be back."
"I'm not going anywhere," Bobby sighed.
***
Sam and Dean took a break and walked to the cafeteria.
"I hate these Halloween decorations," Sam shuddered. "Why would a hospital even put them up?"
"I don't know. But, since it is today, I'll let you rip them down tomorrow."
"You'll let me?" Sam smiled.
"How about I help you?" Dean replied. "We can skip down the hall, trashing the decorations."
"Sounds fun,. Just what I need."
Dean took his hand and Sam leaned on him a little.
"Do you feel like we've been here forever or is it just me?" Sam sighed.
"Time here passes way too slow. Feels like we've been here for at least a week."
They sat down with their plates of food.
"Was there anything special you thought of for our commitment ceremony?" Dean asked after shoveling in one huge bite.
"I have some ideas," Sam grimaced a little at Dean chewing with his mouth open. "Was there anything you wanted?"
"I'm leaving it up to you, Sammy. I like the ring idea. I'll let you plan the rest."
"What I wanted us to do was to write a letter to each other and read them aloud. That way we didn't need to remember anything and we'd have the letters to keep."
"You mean like vows?"
"No. Just a declaration of love and commitment. That's what this is all about after all, isn't it?"
"Sam, you know, my words . . "
"I know words aren't your friends when it comes to feelings," Sam told him. "I just want you to try. I know how to read between the lines by now."
Dean smiled. "You know me so well."
***
Back in Emma's room, they gave Drew a well-deserved break. There'd been no change.
"Sam?" Emma's voice was cracking.
"I'm here, Emma. Do you want some ice chips?"
"Is that still all I'm allowed?"
"Yeah. Sorry."
"Guess I'll take them then," Emma sighed.
Sam spooned a couple in and they must have tasted like heaven to Emma by the face that she made. After a few spoonfuls, Sam asked, "Can I ask you something, Emma? You made a comment earlier today and I just want to know where it came from."
"Go ahead. Although, I don't know if I'll remember saying it."
"That jerk that assaulted you. What color were his eyes?" Sam asked in a soft voice.
Emma eyebrows crinkled. "I remember them being blue, but I thought I saw them turn black. I must have been imagining things."
"Are you sure?"
"I don't know. Someone's eye color can't just change, can it?"
Dean was standing behind Sam now. Not saying anything, just listening.
Sam told Emma, "Sometimes a person's eyes can change with their emotions. Do you remember his eyes being black?"
Emma nodded. "Why?"
"Just wondering," Sam breezily replied. "Ready for more ice chips?"
"How about a drink of the water they've melted into?"
Sam laughed, "Sure. I don't see a nurse here. A couple sips can't hurt."
Emma smiled gratefully.
***
"Bobby," John moved in closer to the warm body beside him in bed. "Did you find anything out?"
"We'll have to see if the baby's possessed by using holy water and then I still need to find a ritual to prevent possession. I have charms that work on regular folks but if the baby is truly more susceptible to one specific demon, we'll need something else. Caleb has calls out to his friends to see if they know anything. Maybe one of them will have a better idea."
"I don't like not knowing,"
"Neither do I," Bobby moved so that he was pressed up against John. "Did you get any sleep?"
"Some."
"Then let's get some rest. We can talk at the hospital. I love you."
"Love you."
***
Right before John and Bobby arrived at the hospital, the doctor came in. He told Emma that they had exhausted all of their options to stop her labor, but she was still getting contractions. All she could do was stay calm and hope that the contractions stopped. Sam and Dean followed the doctor into the hall.
"There's nothing more we can try?" Dean asked just to clarify.
The doctor shook his head. "We've had over twenty-four hours for the steroids to work to mature the baby's lungs. We need to remember to be thankful for that. Emma seems to have a great support system. Keep it up."
Sam and Dean both thanked the doctor before entering Emma's room again.
When John and Bobby arrived, Dean filled them in on what he'd written in the notebook while Sam kept Emma busy. They didn't want to put any undue stress on her. If she'd known how concerned everyone else was, she would have gotten herself worked up. Nobody wanted that.
Bobby and John were there for the night, so Sam and Dean were able to go ring shopping.
"Any idea what you're looking for?" Dean asked while he drove to the jewelers.
"I'm not sure. I'll know if when I see it. Do you have something specific in mind?"
"No," Dean replied. "I think I'd just like to get something silver."
"Do you think we should have stayed with Emma?" Sam asked after riding awhile in silence.
"Bobby or Dad will call us with any change. We're dong something important to us. If they call, we're out of there. Otherwise, we need this time for us."
Sam nodded and took Dean's hand. "I'm so happy you're doing this for me."
"I'm doing it for me, too. Once you brought it up and started talking about it, I found that I really wanted a commitment ceremony, too."
Sam had to smile, pleased with what he'd heard.
Dean found his ring right away. It was silver and had a gunmetal color to it. He got a sturdy chain that matched to keep his ring on at work. Then, he wandered over to where Sam was.
Sam was looking a simple gold band.
"What have you found, Sam?"
"I think I like this band," Sam had it on his finger and it was a good width for him.
"It looks nice," Dean agreed. "Did you have any others you were thinking of?"
"No. I'm pretty selective. Only this ring, and only you."
Dean smiled and would have kissed him if the jeweler hadn't been standing right there.
"Go ahead and get it, then," Dean nudged him.
"I'll take this one," Sam said shyly as he handed the ring to the jeweler.
"You're turning pink," Dean whispered to Sam on the way to the register.
"Well, we're picking out our rings," Sam whispered back. "This is something we only do once."
"I know," Dean replied. "But, why are you blushing?"
"Because tomorrow everyone will know about us," Sam turned a deeper shade of pink.
"I thought that was what you wanted."
"I do," Sam said softly.
One they were on their way out to the car, Dean slipped his arm around Sam and didn't care who saw. "I love you, you know," Dean told Sam.
"I know."
They got home, pleased with their rings. Trick or treaters were standing on the porch and Caleb was busy doling out the candy.
“Remember the neighbor guy that saw me naked in our living room?” Dean was chuckling.
“You mean the one who was minding his own business until you traumatized him by flashing him?”
“Whatever,” Dean replied. “I can’t believe he still sent his kids here to trick or treat. He’s not dad material.”
Sam just shook his head, not wanting to get into any more naked Dean stories. There were way too many of them.
“Hey, guys,” Caleb greeted them. “Drew already ate supper but there’s some I can heat up for you.”
“We ate on our way home,” Dean patted his belly for emphasis. “Any news?”
“Nope.”
“Um, Sam and I are going to need some private time. So if you can use the downstairs bathroom, we’d
appreciate it.”
“No problem,” Caleb replied as he grabbed another fist-full of candy to hand out.
“Why did you have to tell Caleb that?” Sam was so embarrassed that Dean almost laughed.
“So no one interrupts us during our ceremony and celebration. I just want to spend from now to when we have to go back to the hospital loving you and being your husband.”
The tender way Dean worded his response took Sam by surprise.
They had written their letters during the day either at the hospital or when they ate supper.
"Okay, Sammy. This is your show. What do we do?"
"We should read the letters over by the dresser so we can have the rings there, too."
They put the rings and letters on the dresser.
"I'll go first," Sam said. He cleared his throat before he started to read:
Dearest Dean,
You came into my life as my protector. When I hit the lowest part of my life, you came in to the rescue with all the love and support anyone could wish for.
We've had some ups and downs, but our love has gotten us through. And, love always will.
After tonight, I will be your husband until the end of time. There's nothing else I'd rather be.
Love Always,
Sammy
Sam folded the letter and picked up Dean's ring. He took Dean's hand. As he put the ring on Dean's finger, he said, "I'll love you forever."
Sam's eyes were wet with tears. Dean's eyes were getting shiny, too.
"I shouldn't have let you go first. There's no way I can top that."
"It isn't a competition, Dean."
"Well, here it goes," Dean read his letter to Sam:
Sammy,
My love for you was simple when we were little. As we got older, it became a different kind of love--the one we have now.
I've loved you since I met you, and that will never change.
I'll be proud to wear a ring that signifies that I am your husband.
Dean
Dean's hands were shaky as he grasped Sam's ring. As he slipped it on Sam's finger, he said, "I love you."
Dean looked at Sam, who had tears sliding down his face. "Those had better be happy tears."
Sam nodded.
Dean drew Sam towards him in an embrace. Sam laid his head on Dean's shoulder, tucking his face into Dean's neck. He knew that he was home, forever.
“Hmm,” Dean felt Sam’s breath against skin. “Do you feel any different?”
"I feel married," Sam whispered in Dean's ear as he moved his mouth along Dean's neck, leaving kisses and mouthing his way across Dean's muscles. "How do you feel?" he whispered when he was near Dean's ear again.
"Married," Dean replied. He moved to expose more of his neck to Sam. "And it's . . . breath-taking," he sighed.
***
Emma awoke to find John by her. His eyes were open like he was in deep thought.
"John?"
"Yeah, Emma," John turned his attention to her and smiled. "What do you need?"
"Sam asked me about Zane," Emma shifted her gaze from John to her fingers toying with the sheet. "He asked me what color his eyes were. Why would he do that?" She looked back at John, confused and scared.
"Because you mentioned something about his eyes being black," John spoke slowly. "Later on, can you tell me more about Zane?"
"More? Like what?"
"His personality, background, anything strange that might come to mind," John didn't really want to have this discussion with her until after the baby was safely born in January.
"I thought he was a nice guy, otherwise I wouldn't have gone out with him," Emma worried her lower lip.
"Everything was fine that night at dinner and the movies. Even when we got into the car initially, he was still himself. He rolled his window down and when he turned back to me, he was different."
"All he did was roll his window down?"
"Does that mean something to you?" Emma asked.
"Maybe. Don't worry about it, Emma. Everything is fine," John brushed her hair back. "Are you okay?"
"I wish I was home."
"I bet you do. Anything I can get you?"
"Some water, please?" Emma asked. John helped her sit up to take a drink.
"That's the best tasting water ever," Emma told John as he eased her back into bed.
After Emma was resting, John looked at Bobby with a sad look in his eyes. Bobby had the same look. He knew what they had to do.
They moved into the bathroom, their mouths still connected. Unwilling to let go of what they had yet wanting something else.
Dean turned on the shower and checked the temperature while Sam's hands worked Dean's belt. Dean turned back to Sam. He grabbed both of Sam's shirts and pulled them off with some assistance from Sam. Sam was scrambling with the lock on the door to the hallway.
Caleb, sitting in the living room with Drew, heard the noise from the bathroom when Sam was trying to lock the door while otherwise distracted. "We need to use the bathroom in the basement tonight," Caleb said casually.
Drew had also heard the commotion. "Sure," he nodded and went back to the television.
Sam and Dean made quick work of each other's clothing, practically ripping it off with frenzied kissing. They stepped into the shower and slowly moved their hands over skin with soap and a washcloth.
The washed each other's hair. While Sam was washing Dean's hair, his leg rubbed between Dean's and he moaned. Sam smiled at the look on Dean's face. He gently moved, rubbing against Dean. After the shampoo was out of Dean's hair, Sam pulled him from under the water and pressed him to the shower wall as he kissed Dean, almost taking his breath from him. Sam rocked his leg back and forth. Dean tightened his grip on Sam and moaned into Sam's mouth.
"Not here," Dean said when he could get the words out between kisses. "Bed."
Out of the shower, they tried to towel off quickly, before heading to bed.
Sam loomed over Dean. His muscular arms holding his lanky body up so he didn't crush Dean. He dipped his head down for kisses and then moved away to nibble on Dean's ear. He found a sensitive spot by Dean's collarbone and sucked and licked it. He was leaving a mark, both Sam and Dean knew that. Dean didn't mind, he thought he might mark Sam later on.
While Sam had been moving over Dean's body, his erection and Dean's touched in passing. It was a light, random touch.
"Sammy," Dean began to squirm.
"I'll give you what you need," Sam promised before grabbing a tube out of the nightstand.
Dean sighed and sank further into the mattress. He hadn't planned on Sam taking the lead or venturing into relatively new territory. He definitely liked this new side to Sam.
Dean felt the cool lube as Sam nudged his legs further apart. Sam rubbed his fingers around Dean's puckered hole, slowly working his way in.
"I love you," Dean's words were cut short with a sharp intake of breath as Sam breached the tight ring of muscle.
Sam carefully watched Dean's face as he waited for the muscles to relax before pushing in further. He added a finger and stroked the bundle of nerves that caused intense pleasure from the look on Dean's face.
Sam tried scissoring his fingers and Dean let out a noise of frustration as he tried to move so Sam's fingers went further in or stroked that special spot.
"I can give you what you want, Dean," Sam leaned in close to Dean. "If that's still what you want, I can."
"You sure?"
Sam nodded. "I'm just making love with my husband, Dean."
"Please."
Sam placed a pillow under Dean's hips. He caressed Dean on the inside with three fingers until he thought Dean was open enough to take him.
With Dean lined up, Sam pressed his head to Dean's opening. Dean hissed.
"Should I stop?" Sam asked, worried that he'd hurt Dean.
"No," Dean replied. "Just go slow. It's so good, Sammy. You're so good to me."
Sam slowly moved in further, letting Dean's body responded set the pace. When he was fully into Dean, he stopped while Dean's body twitched around him, trying to accommodate him.
"You fill me up," Dean whispered. "Give me . . . give me . . . "
Sam moved his hips and Dean threw his head back and grabbed the sheets.
Even though he was sweating and trying to hold back the inevitable, Sam kept moving. "Dean, I'm gonna--"
"Go," Dean panted. "Let it go, Sammy."
Sam concentrated on how Dean felt around him, tight and warm. He moved faster as he got closer. He let out a groan as he came, filling Dean as his body shook. He pressed in and out one more time before gently pulling himself free.
Dean's hands were reaching for him, pulling him close. "Thank you, Sammy. That was something I didn't know I could ask for. What's changed?"
"I feel more secure since I'm your spouse now and not just your boyfriend. That security gave me the courage to play."
"I love playing with you, Sammy."
"We've got a lifetime to do that in," Sam laid his head on Dean's shoulder.
Dean was surprised when he felt tears on his skin. Dean went instantly into protective mode. He grabbed Sam's face in his hands and asked, "What's wrong, Sammy?"
"Nothing."
"Yeah right. Tell me."
"I . . . I enjoyed it," Sam looked at Dean through tear-filled eyes. "I was doing it for you. I never thought that it might feel good for me, too."
"It's supposed to feel good for both of us, Sammy. Enjoying it is nothing to be ashamed about."
"It caught me by surprise," Sam admitted.
"I bet it did," Dean wiped away Sam's tears. "Are you okay with it now?"
Sam turned pink.
"You'd like to do that again sometime?" Dean guessed.
"Yeah," Sam's voice was quiet.
"Me, too, Sammy. It was awesome to have you inside me."
Sam brushed Dean's hair back with his fingers, "I'm a newlywed and I'm so in love."
Sam and Dean got lost in sensations that rocked their bodies caused by hands, lips and words murmured (or yelled) in the heat of passion. Sam didn't want to venture further on his part and that was fine with Dean. He could see that Sam was getting over the past and starting anew with him. Sam wanted to be extra cautious, Dean could handle that.
"You look very sexy in just your wedding ring," Dean told Sam. "Who would have thought that commitment could be so damn irresistible?"
Sam relaxed more and told Dean, "You've always been sexy to me."
Dean smirked as the love he felt for Sam shone in his eyes.
It was their wedding night. A perfect time to learn about each other as individuals and as part of a couple.
Emma was sound asleep when John sneaked out of bed. He stretched while walking to Bobby, who was asleep in the chair.
"Bobby," he touched his shoulder.
Bobby opened his eyes and put a hand to John's cheek. "How are you holding up?"
John shrugged. "You know what we have to do, right?"
"Yeah," Bobby groaned as he shifted a little. "We have to find Zane and make sure he's not possessed."
"Did he seem possessed to you when we were there? I don't recall anything unusual."
"He was a creep and a smartass," Bobby stood up. "I didn't notice any sign of possession."
"When do we leave?" John looked at the black night out the window.
"You can't go anywhere," Bobby told him. "You need to take care of Emma, the boys and the baby. You'll need to check in with Drew, too. Make sure he's doing alright."
"There's no way I'm letting you go alone," John's voice was strong. It was the no-nonsense voice he'd used on the boys when they were little.
"I can take Joshua with me," Bobby was quick to reply. "I want to leave Caleb here with you."
"But, I need you," John's face showed a glimpse of the vulnerability he felt.
"I know, Johnny Boy," Bobby put his arms around John. "You know I'll be coming back and you know I'll be safe."
"No, I don't know that you'll be safe," John argued. "This baby is coming into my family. The demon probably knew. That is why he possessed Zane, to get to Emma, to get to us. I love you, Bobby, which makes you part of 'us' the demon would be after. That definitely does not make it safe for you to go there."
"But we know where we found him before. It would be easier for one of us to find him."
"I don't want to take the chance. Send Caleb and Joshua. They're good and the demon doesn't have it out for them personally."
"I'll make some calls," Bobby relented. He brushed his fingers through John's hair. "We'll be okay, John."
John laid his head on Bobby's shoulder. His muscles went weak from lack of sleep and too much worry. Bobby just held onto him as John sank into Bobby's embrace. "I've got you, Johnny. Just rest a few minutes."
John clutched onto Bobby's shirt. He was shaking from fear for his family and the heavy load we was carrying.
"Shh," Bobby whispered. "You're doing a great job, John. We don't have too long before we can go home. Just hang in there."
"That's getting harder to do," John admitted. "I'm not as strong as I used to be."
"You are too, The grandbaby is a new twist and another person to take care of. There's the added pressure of premature labor and the apprehension about the demon."
"I don't want my boys to let the demon rule their lives. I want them to have a life like I did with Mary."
"I know you do. We'll do the best we can. Let's just try to concentrate on now. We 'll keep Emma calm, I'll make some calls and when we get back to the house, I'll make sure you get some sleep. You okay with that?"
John nodded and gave Bobby a hug before standing on his own.
***
Sam felt Dean's hand moving lower and lower on his abdomen. Still almost asleep, Sam felt Dean move his hand between Sam's legs and fondled his sac, making Sam gasp, before moving up to take Sam in his hand. Dean had already worked up a rhythm before Sam could ask, "What time is it, Dean?"
"Time for this," Dean whispered. Sam could feel the cool metal of his band as he moved along Sam's shaft.
"It feels different. I can feel your ring," Sam replied.
"Is that good or bad?"
"It's all good, Dean,. It's a little variety."
Sam arched his back and leaned into Dean. "I'm gonna--"
Dean made no movement to try to put it off. He just stroked Sam until he was done shaking.
Sam was still trying to catch his breath when Dean asked, "Should I make a habit of waking you up this way?"
Sam smiled and tried to reach behind him for Dean. Dean took his hand and brought it back in front of Sam.
"I'm fine, Sam. I already handled the situation."
"Without me?" Sam asked. "You didn't hide in the bathroom, did you?"
"Hell, no. I was right here. That's how dead to the world you were."
"I'm sorry. I can still--"
"No, Sammy. You did so much last night. You got over some of your fears and managed the unexpected emotions that it brought up. I'm proud of you. I just wanted to wake you up in an extra-special way on our first morning together. I can't wait to show off our rings."
Sam kissed Dean lightly at first and then deeper.
"I wish I could say I had all day to be with you," Dean admitted. "But, we need to get back up to the hospital."
"Rain check?" Sam smiled.
"Sammy, you'll never need a rain check. Now that we're married, I'll always be trying to get with you."
"Promise?" Sam asked with a new shine in his eyes.
Dean gave him an overwhelming kiss where the sensations just floored Sam. Then, Dean moved away. "Come on, Sammy. Time to go."
***
Bobby and John didn't have much to share when Sam, Dean and Drew came to Emma's room. Bobby and John liked the rings they'd picked out and could see how happy they were now that their union was official, even if it wasn't in the eyes of the law.
Caleb and Drew had congratulated them over breakfast. Neither one mentioned the yelling they'd heard during the night. Now they knew the reason for the noise.
John seemed drained as he and Bobby walked down the hall.
"You think Dad is okay?" Sam asked as he watched them.
"He should be," Dean replied. "If he's not, Bobby will take care of him."
"Yeah, you're right," Sam said as he closed Emma's door behind them.
***
Back at the house, Bobby asked Caleb to call the list that he'd made of the hunters who knew John to see if they could go to New York and see if Zane was possessed. If he was, they needed it taken care of. Caleb said he would as the two older men bypassed breakfast for their bedroom downstairs.
