Nico's attention drifted toward Carmina, who looked worse for the wear. If it had been a better time, he would've made fun of her dramatic entrance--wedding gown and all--but the glue in his side was losing its grip. He was at risk of puddling blood on his sister's furniture. Floor. Etc.
He stood. "Honestly, Carmina, I don't think you have to worry about anything. No one would want you to join their ranks anyway. Your voice seems like plenty of deterrent as is."
