Seth
Seth didn't doubt that Nico had heard him. Had it just happened? Was that why Alex's brother was bleeding? He'd used glue?
But if it had just happened, Seth would think he'd have heard about it by now. 'Hey guys I got attacked by a rabid coyote, can you believe that' made for a good dinner party story. Without at least some knowledge of shifting as a thing, Seth couldn't think of a reason to be secretive or defensive.
Unless it was some sort of macho thing. Admitting a wild dog attack seen as a threat to masculinity...No. Seth didn't think so. Nico did stuff with computers. He had the right look to make it through the first few auditions, but there was no way he was going to make the final cut for Jersey Shore.
Had Nico gotten involved in some sort of coyote gang? If one of the Thornes was going to join a coyote gang....
The whole thing smelled sketchy, literally, and Seth definitely had questions. But since Nico hadn't admitted the attack, and Seth didn't think he was dealing with a shifter who didn't know he was a shifter, Seth didn't have the same ethical responsiblity in this situation than he would have if Nico had responded a different way. It made what was going on with Alex's brother a little less Seth's business.
Seth also didn't want to spoil Alex and Cassie's dinner by talking about the werewolves before the food. He'd seen the notecards.
One of the Thornes was going to be a lot less surprised by Cassie and Alex's announcement tonight than the others. Probably. If Nico was a shifter, and Cassie had married a gifted person, and Alex had married Seth, chances were Ren had been turned into a zombie by radioactive sludge and Carmina was engaged to a mummy at this point.
Seth kept tight lipped enough, but gave Nico a knowing look, sympathetic for now for as much as Seth knew about the situation. "If after tonight you need help with it, you can talk to me," Seth said. He left it at that.
