The Whitby Welcome Wagon WHO Levi and Lila WHAT Levi gets to know the new vampire in town. WHERE Royal Pacific Harbor WHEN July 24th, evening. WARNINGS None so far. Will be updated.
When Levi and his 'friends' founded Willow Creek, he'd had a certain vision for the vampire community that he wanted to create. It was born the day that Penelope Lark, his wife, his precious gem, bled out in his arms, and it continued to grow with each loss. A bright spot in a dark sky that had spent the last two hundred years devouring each of Levi's stars one-by-one.
As the least socially accepted species among the founders and the minority, Levi's battles hadn't stopped even after the wild west saw peace at last and the others got to holster their guns. He'd had to fight fang and nail for every inch of property and every ounce of sway and power to get where he was right now, and who knew how many more years it would take to get where he really wanted to go.
Levi kept most of his cards close to his chest, but to say that Willow Creek mattered to him was an understatement. It wasn't just a town, it was a legacy. The same dream that the revolutionaries had given their lives for when America was just an idea, a wish for more freedom than they currently had. Levi kept his fingers so tightly to the town's pulse because he knew exactly how easy a life was to lose.
Lila Burke was the newest vampire to walk into Levi's town. Dolly had arranged the paperwork, but Levi hadn't met her in person yet. There were always more than enough things to fill the older vampire's schedule but after dusk when the human world went to bed, there was always a little bit of time in the quiet hours.
He arrived just after sundown and knocked on the door to her trailer. That a vampire was living in RPH was definitely concerning, but Levi knew something about runaways and the extents they were willing to go to if it meant getting away from a strong leash. When the door opened, Levi offered her his hand.
"Levi Whitby," he said. "I thought I'd introduce myself and welcome you to the neighborhood." He handed her a bottle of "wine" as a gift.
