WHO Lux-Eron OT Xander Kingston, Nadia Duchene WHAT A typical morning and afternoon. Maybe. WHERE Kingston Tech. > BeauSoleil WHEN Monday, July 25th, 2016 starting around 10am through lunch. WARNINGS TBD
When Kingston had made his job offer, Lux had accepted it with gusto but he was also reluctant. His position back home was not all that dissimilar to the one he was getting into; He'd spent years as an assistant to one of the many advisors and what was required of him now was much the same as then. Yet, Lux felt an inner struggle going on; A slight disconnect as a feeling of surrealism took hold. The hands that had spent so long locked in fists, fighting to stay alive from day to day, were now doing something equally familiar. Yet, it was old enough that he almost felt like it had been another life long, long ago.
Despite the odd feeling, Lux was quick to establish a routine. Perhaps it was eagerness that spurred him on or gratitude and the desire to show his appreciation, but the phoenix woke promptly at 4:30 in the morning and headed to the gym where he ran into Nadia (thankfully it was not in the literal sense) and had an awkward yet brief conversation with her before parting ways to stretch and run the treadmill for an hour, cool down, shower, and ended up at Uncle Joe's Diner. There, he had not one but two helpings of the Breakfast Special to the amazement of the staff (if only they knew he could put twice that away) since it consisted of three eggs, three strips of bacon, three sausage patties, a stack of three pancakes, and three biscuits. When he walked out the door, he was hardly stuffed, but the two meals would satisfy him long enough.
Half past seven, he was walking through the door dressed and pressed in a simple suit along with a zippered leather portfolio in hand. Lux was already fielding a call for Xander when he silently greeted the day time security guard with a smile and wave before heading up to the Big Man's office. Lux settled at his desk in the ante-room to check messages (both phone and email) and returned any urgent ones that he could before collecting the local briefings for review. He made mental notes for himself and wrote down any he thought Xander should know based on additional messages Lux had received before he sorted the briefings by priority.
Lux completed his morning routine by printing off a physical copy of Kingston daily itinerary just in the case of technological problems and prepared the man's morning tea before heading down to greet the company owner. An easy smile was on his face as Xander walked through the door and he held out the insulated cup upon his approach.
"Good morning, Mr. Kingston. Everything is prepped and on your desk for review."
