"You are difficult when you can buy pretty much anything you want, men are difficult to shop for anyway." Emma knew she could find something for him, just wasn't quite sure what yet but she would have some time to think about it. She also knew that he usually got a lot of meaningless gifts that people just did out of formality. That was the problem with being immortal, you never really wanted to get too close to anyone since their lives were normally fleeting and you couldn't trust anyone to tell them your secret. There was still that nagging suspicion that he did want to tell someone what he really was but she knew he would figure it out on his own though, without any help from her.
His statement touched her though, people thought vampires didn't have emotions since their hearts didn't beat but she always felt like she kept that part of her humanity. It wasn't just wants and desires, although that was a large part of it, she still felt some other emotions. It did mean a lot to her that he thought so much of her, even if he didn't show it much, she was still glad to hear it. "I'll find something good, you know you can count on me." Even if it was something funny, there would still be some thought behind it and she knew he would genuinely enjoy it. "Anything else you'd like me to do while I'm there?"
