The cold didn't bother Ben either, because he was somewhat numb to the world around him right now. His eyes lacked emotion, same as his lips. He moved through the city not all that unlike a robot. Ben was in the process of shutting down on the inside. It felt like his only option, because feeling hurt too much currently.
But Raksha wanted to meet for coffee, and after a morning unloading on Giselle, and an afternoon filled with planning for his next mission, he supposed he could make room for another friend. Raksha was a friend. Ben was sure of that. Just maybe not as close a friend as Giselle. Ben was keeping new friends at a slight distance for the time being. The shit with Daniel made him cautious.
He approached the table with that caution in mind, giving a terse nod to Raksha. "Afternoon," he said politely.
