Conall was feeling a little more like himself. sleep helped. Halloween did, too. It felt good to be around people again. Not that Conall didn't usually enjoy every moment working with technology, but when it became a constant, unstoppable, frustrating drive... Yeah. That electric hum and stuffy, closed in office spaces began to feel claustrophobic. To be honest, even though he'd felt guilty about taking a break to enjoy himself (well, at first, he was just being polite and making an appearance), his head felt clearer now. The work he'd done today felt far more productive than the past several days, which meant he was comfortable heading out tonight to have a drink or two and watch a game. Whodathunk - being social really was good for you. Good thing his brothers had never let him become a basement geek.
Good thing indeed. The red-haired man had opted to take a short cut through the park. One, the brisk air was refreshing, and two, it was peaceful, especially as it was getting on toward dark and people were starting to vacate the spot of greenery in the sprawling city. However, the park was one of those places where a person could run into anyone. Including a traitor.
Daniel was out for a run, apparently, and Conall hadn't noticed him till he turned to look at the pounding feet on pavement. He could have kept on walking, but their paths would cross anyway. so he stopped and glared, jaw set. He wasn't a hothead - he sure as hell wasn't going to start anything - but he also wasn't going to pretend like it was roses and unicorn farts either.
