William nodded. "That's right. Connor's boy. Come to think of it, maybe I should take him to one of those orchards where you pick your own pumpkin and apples and run through a corn maze. Kids like that sort of thing, right?" William really didn't know, at least not from experience. He'd grown up in a cage with scientists providing the bare essentials for his survival. He didn't know what it was like to be a normal child.
"I know what you mean. Other than my apartment, there are few places on campus I can count on for solitude. But, at least I can leave Willowbrook," he added in a tone that expressed sympathy, but he felt nothing of the sort. If he could inspire claustrophobia in Asher, maybe the traitor would leave campus. The Syndicate could get to him easily then. Blair knew of Asher's true fate, but William didn't know who the man had assigned to the case.
