No, it's not. She agreed. It wasn't like her visions rang a certain color with priority. There was no indication of time or importance, really. There were sometimes things that helped to indicate that something was a sooner happening event than others, but it was rare. Since no one had been seriously injured in this, it was one of the reasons the vision had not shone so brightly. Only ones with immediate impending doom and danger, most notably to herself or to someone she has known for many, many years and cares deeply about, ever rang out so clearly. It didn't stop her from feeling a little responsible, though.
He was assured that she would figure it out, and she nodded her head in agreement. She would, it had been preoccupying her thoughts for so long she was quite sure she would figure it out eventually, but it was nice to hear that someone else agreed with that, and believed in her.
It certainly was a hard statement to swallow, but she knew he was right. It wasn't simple, nothing in their abilities was really simple, nor was it simple for anyone with any abilities. Even the most kind, benign, helpful abilities could be difficult and frustrating to control and get through. Nothing was as easy as it seemed. As much as Emily wanted to help everyone and fix everything she ever saw in her visions, she knew it wasn't possible. Thank you, Niko. I needed to hear that. She gave a smile in his direction and let out a small sigh.
As always, she was interested in hearing about his week. Emily liked to live vicariously through her friends sometimes, enjoying the events they had recently experienced to give herself a sense of sociability. She was by no means antisocial, she had plenty of people she considered friends as well as co workers and she enjoyed her talks with all of them, but sometimes Emily craved a little more conventional kind of social gathering - parties and all that. She was not usually one to attend those kinds of things, it could be difficult to get around and she hated to appear incapable. Poor Brian. She said softly, knowing it could not have been easy for Nikolai to have dragged him away from his computer. She made a noise of approval at his lunch with James.
When he said her costume must be more exciting she scoffed. Oh please, I'm sure your social activities are MUCH more exciting than anything else. She was poking fun at him just a little - Nikolai was not particularly social at all, and his social life was more filled with frustrations than fun. But yes, it's a spectacular gown at one of the little second-hand shops in Staten Island. I also need some sort of white hair like... spray paint, or a wig. Do you know who Mirana, the White Queen is?
