"Good choice." She replied. Hers was finished already, so she grabbed another new cup, slid it into place, and got another french vanilla container to put in. It was all said in done in just a few moments, the cup brewing. "It's what I'm having too!" She replied happily. It was too hot to drink just yet, but she held the cup up to smell it. It had such a great smell. She leaned back against the counter, setting her cup besides her. It was a slow process, she didn't want it to fall, but once it was set down, she returned her attention to Niko.
"Hmm. You're tired. Why? Bad week?" They'd all had a bad week, really. Emily couldn't forgive herself for not seeing the Dome crash or the fire set in Brian's office. She was a vast well of knowledge, but sometimes, particularly with future events, they could be difficult to decipher. When she was busy with other things, or looking at something in specific, the ones that came to her in dreams or flashes of the day were put on the back burner, to be figured out later. As was with this case, it had been a bad idea to put those visions on hold. They made a lot of sense now, in retrospect.
His cup was done by the time her question had been finished. "Do you mind carrying both coffees to the living room?" She knew he wouldn't, but she always asked anyways. She was perfectly capable of getting from her kitchen to the living room without hitting anything, but it was better not to be carrying scalding hot cups of coffee while she did it. Just in case. Plus, she didn't want anything stained. Even if she couldn't see it, others could. She liked her house to always be presentable to guests.
Making her way to the living room upon agreement, she sat down one of the armchairs and pulled her legs up to rest underneath her. "Why don't you tell me what's been going on, Niko." There was no hiding anything from Emily, really. You shouldn't even bother trying, it was quite difficult. Particularly when she knew you well. And don't lie, you know I can tell. There was no need to speak between them, either. She held her hands out for her coffee, and waited for the story to unfold.
