Well, maybe a rooftop barbecue wasn't everyone's idea of fun, but the idea had popped into her head and well, she wanted to do it, damnit! So, a trip to the stop&shop down the street had been made the day prior, to pick up things that were needed - a bit of alcohol, though Colton had agreed to provide it, a variety of mixers/chasers, some hamburger patties, hot dogs, buns, and a tub or two of macaroni salad and potato salad. Throw in some chips and dip, and you had a party. It was easy enough, it didn't have to be a huge thing, but it would provide for all who would attend.
Melody wasn't exactly a woman of many cooking talents, and throwing the burgers or hot dogs on a barbecue wasn't difficult, per se, but she would likely burn everything. So, instead, she put the meats on some ice next to it, set out the plates and cups on a little table, and got basically everything all set up. The tablecloths were all shades of silver or gold, while the pool towels that lined the pool area were shades of black, white, pink, and turquoise. All in all, it looked like she had spent a lot of money on it, though there were quite a few people in particularly generous moods when she went shopping. Not to mention, she did have a lot of classic stuff lying around - she definitely liked the 1950s. Her Iphone was even plugged into speakers to play some 50's music.
Her hair was down, with big curls in a classic 1950's style, and her bathing suit was a classic red with white polka dot one piece. Since she wasn't in the pool yet, she definitely had matching red heels to boot, matching the outfit rather flawlessly. With the outside being encased in class for the colder months, it was certainly warmer and there were even a few heat lamps in the relaxation area, so those had been turned on as well. Now, all there was to do, was wait for the guests to arrive.
