But now he was back there, and though he was probably one of the last people to be affected deeply about it, he understood that it was still sad. Still alarming. He just didn't let his mind wander further into that avenue.
He tried a smile, a small one, something he might have been more accustomed to in the past. Bob nodded and said, "I did." He raised his glass closer to his lips, swirling the amber treasure within it, the ice making music against the crystalline surface. "It's not a particularly likable news, is it?" He chuckled, tipping the glass up to drink.
Then paused before he could even taste the alcohol. He put his hand down and spun the glass delicately in both of his instead. He inspected his drink's movement. "You think it's us?" he asked after a while, glancing at James for his expert opinion.
