Skyler had been somewhat lost in though as he walked. He had a list of things in his head that he needed to do before tomorrow, mainly getting some time with Keir to give him his birthday presents from him and something his folks sent for him. And there was that stupid paper he needed to finish for English. Something about some biology homework was in there as well.
Hearing his name called out, he stopped and looked around for Trey. He was torn between a bad impression of Sally Fields (you like me! you really like me!) and a mocking squeal of glee. He went for a combination move. "Really? Me? Wow," he said excitedly, dropping his backpack, opening his arms for a hug, which he never got.
Instead he shoved Trey playfully before picking his back back up and slinging the strap on his shoulder. "Remember Ayers, only you can make yourself feel like a loser. And you friend, are a winner!" Skyler had already started walking toward the cafeteria, glancing back with a grin. "C'mon, your chosen one won't wait forever you know."
