Fred had been taken at a young age and experimented on. Not only that, she had been brainwashed. Much of her life before coming to Cistron was a mystery to her. A lot of those memories were in tact, but whether it was the brainwashing, the torture of being experimented on, or her own need to suppress those memories because they were painful to think about, who knew. She just didn't remember much. She was still locked in her own thoughts when she picked up on what Kaz was saying.
"What?" She said, confused because she had missed part of the conversation. But then it clicked and she nodded her head, "Ohhhh." She said, pretending she understood what exactly he meant by all that. "Prizes are cool. I bet I couldn't answer any of those questions though. I'm not very smart." She knew a lot of things about mutants... and some random facts about science that she could surely regurgitate but nothing she clearly understood. But that was about it. "I wonder if they'll let me watch it some time." Though she'd probably hate it, because she would never know what they were talking about.
Kaz seemed like he was ready to go, and Winifred wiped her hands on her jeans again, even though she had already cleaned herself as much as was going to be possible without a shower, and then nodded her head. "Yep. I'm ready to go!"
