Alec hated Christmas. It wasn't like he was having fun here. He wasn't doing any of the activities or going to any of the impromptu parties. He was spending most of that time with Lenore. They didn't do a whole lot. They spent most of it in a bed, not always Lenore's. Leo had gone home for his family, so Alec's room was empty. Alec had given Leo his present before he left. He'd given Leo Libby's too.
But mostly, every morning, he went to Lenore. He brought her doughnuts most mornings too, just to make sure she ate something. "Merry Christmas Eve," he said, entering the room. He set the bag of donuts table in front of the couch, and sat down heavily on the couch beside Lenore. "So what'd you get me?" He asked with a faint smile. It was early as shit. He'd gotten Lenore a present already, though. He'd actually gotten her a thoughtful present. Hopefully it'd make Christmas better for her. He didn't know what he was doing, but he was trying to do good. He didn't want her to have to look back at this time, and count him among the things she regretted.
