She blushed. She realized she was a lot less covered than most people had seen her. There had been two occasions where she showed skin - one being the Homecoming dance, in a misguided attempt at being sexy for Mr. Mason when she had asked him to dance, and the other being Halloween, when she went as Wonder Woman. Which, she knew she was going out on the town for and it wasn't cold, and she had been meeting up with Ian. It was also the night before her birthday, so it was another reason to just dress up. She didn't do it frequently, and a lot less when she realized her fear of her disintegration spreading all over her skin.
But it was different at home, and she suddenly found herself embarrassed, a little, by her lack of clothing. She busied herself with the hot chocolate as Marley went ahead and stood there for a few moments, not saying anything. Something bad was coming, wasn't it? She finished making the hot chocolates and set them both down on the counter to cool, bending her fingers a little in the gloves, a habit she had whenever she first put them on. They always felt so constricting.
What Marley asked instead, however, surprised Lux. Her eyes opened wide and it took her a moment to process what she was being asked, before a smile made it's way across her lips. "Oh." She said, looking down and biting her lower lip, both nervous and excited. "Um, yeah. I mean. I think - I think you're romantic." She said, finding Marley perfectly suitable in that department. She also had nothing to compare it to, but the two things the girls had done together, in her mind, were really special. They meant a lot to her.
"I might not be a very good girlfriend. I've never been one before." She admitted, not trusting herself to be good at it but wanting to try it out all the same. "But I still want to be one. Yours. I want to be your girlfriend. So yes." She was speaking far too much and she blushed again, covering her face with a gloved hand. "What do we do different?" She finally asked, dropping her hand and standing there, feeling kind of exposed. "What's different between friend and girlfriend? Aside from kissing."
