"Oh, thank you. That makes me feel a lot better." He said, his grin still annoyingly present.
She was sure she wasn't able to be trusted in the kitchen but she would have to do. Kaoru gave her a reassuring look amongst all those other silly faces he made upon his departure to the bathroom. Her comment about the Michelin Man, though, made him burst out laughing. "I promise I will stick to just my hand for the toothpaste!" He called, already in the bathroom with the tube in hand, uncapping it and dumping some onto his hand. He quickly spread it around on there, letting go of his manipulation to his touch sensitivity. It still burned like hell, but it was tolerable with the tooth paste on it.
But now his hand had toothpaste on it and that was kind of weird. So he grabbed the first aid kit and carried it out back into the kitchen with him, looking a bit lost. "I would have done this myself but you said you would miss me, so." He gave her one of those pretty signature Kaoru smirks before setting the first aid kit down. "I figure, I don't want to get toothpaste all over everything, so maybe gauze and tape? Can you do that?"
The question was posed, but it was clearly time to stop cooking the noodles so while she either did or didn't get the gauze and tape ready, he retrieved the strainer, set it in the sink, and used a dish towel to very carefully carry the pot of pasta over and dump it into the strainer, effectively getting rid of all the water. Once that was done, he just kind of left it in the strainer and carried that back to the pot instead, setting it on top. Because who wanted to pour it back into the pot? What was the point of that?
Grabbing one of those claw-looking spoons to easily dole out the pasta, set it aside so that, first, Jade could patch him up. "So, we playing doctor now?"
