"I mean don't get me wrong, I like football and all, but I couldn't imagine being a cheerleader for it." He liked to watch football and sure, he would even play here and there and had kind of wanted to when he was younger. It was also to try and find his niche somewhere in his family. Matty and Niky, they were artistic. Kaoru was musical, sure, which he found out, but he didn't really spread that in public. He'd followed Maty around on skateboards for years, but football had been something he'd thought about for a brief while. But cheering for a sport he hardly cared about playing? Sounded lame.
She came up all concerned about his hand and he smirked at her. Injuries were a thing, right? Girls liked when guys were like bleeding or something? Kaoru's hand did burn like crazy though so the flirtation opportunities were a little lost on him at this moment. "Nah it's fine, just boiling water you know." He dulled the senses in his skin, the pain vanishing a bit. It would work short term, anyway. "I think the real point is that beautiful girls shouldn't be around when I'm cooking. Or that I just shouldn't be cooking."
He turned the water just slightly back up on the pasta because otherwise it wouldn't finish cooking (in his head, anyway) and then turned to give her a look that clearly questioned her sanity when she mentioned toothpaste. "Really? Toothpaste? That helps?" He questioned, glancing towards the bathroom. "Does even the minty kind help?"
