He was well aware of what he was doing to make her so uncomfortable, but really, cooking with his sweatshirt on wasn't the best idea in the world. It was already quite warm. Instead of tossing it anywhere, he went ahead and hung it up on the hook by the door, pulling the bottom of his t-shirt down to where it was supposed to be, having lifted an gotten caught a bit when he stripped off his hoodie.
"You can probably still die eating spaghetti but more by choking instead of being poisoned. I think you can even eat the whole box raw and be fine aside from breaking all your teeth." Kaoru may, or may not, have tried to eat spaghetti without it being cooked when he was younger. That may or may not have gone over well with his family, either. Jade agreed that it was getting warm in there and he heard her stumble over her words - so he definitely took that opportunity to give her a raised eyebrow kind of look. "I'll turn it down."
Except, you know, not.
He went to the thermostat and dialed it down a notch or two. It wouldn't cool immediately, but the heat was no longer pouring into the room and it would cool to a normal 68 degrees sooner or later. Making his way back to the kitchen, he got a pot and filled it with water (probably too much water, to be fair) and set it on the stove, turning the burners on and adding some salt - a trick he'd learned from his mother. You salted water you wanted to cook noodles in, for whatever reason.
"Now we just have to wait until it boils." He said, taking a step forward. "And you know what they say. A watched pot never boils, or whatever. So come on." He took her by the wrist and gently lead her back over to the couch, where he let go and promptly flopped down himself, clicking the television on for it to play low in the background. Adventure Time was playing. "You owe me a secret."
