Just when she thought everything couldn't get worse than it already was, he just had to put on a cocky smirk that she wanted to smack off his face just so she would stop blushing. It was rare for her to get all flustered and often not that easy for her to, so she had no idea what to do with herself.
She wanted to roll her eyes at his excuse, but just shrugged. It was also pretty warm in the room, and with her in a sweater, she could feel the heat, so he wasn't completely making excuses. "Sure, whatever you say." She was terribly conflicted. She wanted him to put on a shirt, so he could stop being so smug, but obviously she didn't want him to, either. She was growing a little frustrated at her internal conflict.
Despite it all, she still listened as he explained his family's artistic and musical abilities, nodding along. "You play the violin?" She repeated, looking at him weirdly like she didn't believe him. It was hard to, really. She couldn't imagine him playing one. A guitar, sure. But not a delicate, 'classy looking' instrument. "What other secrets do you have?" She asked, very interested to know what other hidden talents he had, or just secrets in general.
"Well, yeah, kind of. But I guess he already went ahead without me. Can't say I blame him. I've done that to him a couple of times." She shrugged sheepishly. "I'm just that hungry sometimes, you know? The cafeteria might run out of food before I get there." Man, she probably sounded like a glutton, but who could deny food?
