Of course Maggie had. She was so upset, and Leo had no doubt her entry earlier was related to his brother. He was decent when it came to girls, as his track record showed, but he didn't know how to fix the heavy stuff. He didn't know how to make Maggie see that it wasn't her fault; especially not when he was busy blaming himself. "Still sorry. I should've manned up and told you."
Letting the apology stand so they could move on, he kept his gaze on Alec as the unspoken disbelief shone in his eyes. "Don't you mean tomorrow we have to go back to not talking about our feelings? Like real men?" he corrected, allowing more of the smirk to form as his friend worked to get the hurt and anger in enough control that Leo could actually function a little normally.
"Don't you have Lenore's party, though?" As much as he appreciated Alec's willingness to help, and he really did want to take the opportunity to hit him, Leo didn't want to be responsible for messing up someone's birthday.
