Alec didn't want to think about how Libby responded to the news. He hadn't been particularly close to Liam, but he had gotten around to treating Libby more like a younger sister than a friend, on account of Leo. He didn't envy Leo the job he had to do during the day. He shrugged. "Don't worry about it. Maggie filled me in." He didn't envy her job either. Maggie and Leo probably had the same internalized mantra going on. Why weren't they good enough to make Liam stay for them. Alec couldn't help them with that. He wasn't good with words, he wasn't good with helping people.
Of course Leo wanted clarification to Alec's offer, because it wasn't every day Alec offered to let people hit him - contrary to the image he'd given Lenore. He generally did the instigating with the whole hitting thing, even when he triggered himself during combat. And that was why this was the best suggestion he could come up with. Hitting helped him with anger, so he wanted to give that solution to Leo without giving him the outrageous price of fixing all the shit he broke. "This is the only time I'm offering to let you hit me," Alec clarified. "So don't get used to this mushy shit. Tomorrow we gotta go back to talking about our feelings, like real men. Tonight, you can take your anger on my super banging bod." Alec wiggled his eyebrows, because he didn't do heavy emotions. He was more of a jester most of the time. There were times when he was silent and understanding, but usually, he'd rather distract and let more capable people do the comforting.
