Jo ran her fingers over his bare chest, counting the lines she'd left on him, tracing the bite that wasn't from her. The gymnast had been willing, but she'd been so sweetly gentle at first. Until Jo had drawn blood on Walker's arm with her nails. She grinned then shook herself out of her reverie. If she followed those thoughts, she and Walker wouldn't be heard from for a week, and she couldn't make a habit of disappearing like that, especially with everything in their world up in the air.
"That's exactly why I need to go back," she said. "Dobbs' email from this morning is going to have students demanding answers." She shrugged a slender shoulder. "I'm not saying I'm popular or anything, but some of them do come to me with their concerns." She kissed the side of his neck below his ear. "I need to be there for them even when I prefer being here."
She didn't want to go back, but she was, beneath the surface, a responsible human being. Laying against his chest, she said coyly, "You can always come back after dropping me back in my office. I will send you naked pictures, but you can just leave me there."
