Roman smiled sweetly at the waitress, merely nodding in agreement to his brother's order. Coffee shop waitresses were some of his favourite people, they were friendly, helpful and always open to doing something after they got off of work. They were the normalcy in a life of abnormal interactions and strange powers.
No longer were they children back in London, the little brother vying for an older brother's attention. Roman had always been the more outgoing one, the one that got into as much trouble as possible and the one not okay with living a normal life. Though now he regretted that part of his teenaged mind. Green eyes watched Robert's face, quietly. His gaze always suggested that he was looking slightly further than the surface expressions. They were not as different as they seemed. It was merely their approach that was in contrast to one another.
"It was suppose to be a surprise. I hope that the iPad is working well for you." Roman folded his hands on the table. He looked away at the mention of the last time they saw each other. The death of their mother and subsequent estrangement from his brother and father had been what set this portion of his life on path. Roman wasn't sure if he appreciated how the worst days of life could bring amazing changes or how the worst days in life brought him to work undercover for the sociopathic Syndicate leaders.
"You look... good also. How is Willowbrook treating you? I didn't know you knew anything about being a park keeper." A smirk spread across his lips.
